Egyptian (Cairo) Arsenal marking. Usually with star over crescent moon
Most common on Martini Enfield .303 rifles, which were refurbished there. Restamped markings, old UK markings usually ground off.
Often an opposed broad arrow marking (resembling a star) is present indicating British government ownership ended.
